Beautiful Quilt cards using Stampin'Up! DSP

I posted these a few weeks back on my facebook page and finally got around to making a video showing both of these wonderful quilt layouts!!

Honey Bee Home miss you card!

Miss you!

 This Honey Bee Bundle is part of the Heart & Home Suite on pages 58 & 59 in our mini catalog and will be carried over to the new Annual catalog!! I love bees so this suite is one of my faves! Remember though the DSP will not carry over so if you love this as much as I do you will want to get it before it is gone!!

To make this card I started with a cinnamon Cider card base measuring 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored and folded at 4-1/4". The first layer on the front of the card is Very Vanilla cardstock measuring 5-3/8" x 4-1/8". The second layer is another layer of Cinnamon Cider measuring 5-1/4" x 4" and embossed with the Hive 3D EF which is also a part of this suite. 
The top part is a 3-1/2" square of Very Vanilla. I then cut 4 pieces of Cinnamon Cider @ 1-1/2" squares and topped with 4 pieces of the Heart & Home DSP cut @ 1-3/8" squares.  The greeting on the front is cut from Very Vanilla using the Ornate Frames Dies. I also used a Bumble Bee Trinket on the front of the card as well. 
The ribbon I used on the front of this card is currently unavailable but we have many other ribbons to choose from on pages 139 & 140 in our annual catalog. 
For the inside I have a piece of Very Vanilla cut at 5-1/4" x 4" and a small piece of DSP cut at 1" x 4".

Welcome to our April 2022 Stampin Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle!!

 Get them before they are gone!!!

This is a beautiful fun fold card but this paper, die and embossing folder are all on our Retirement List as we prepare for our new Annual catalog!!! Even though they are carrying over the Pansy Patch stamp set and dies, the paper will be leaving us!!  The Stitched So Sweetly dies have been my (favorite!) go to for awhile now and is going to be greatly missed!! I love this embossing folder, it gives just the right amount of texture!! Get them before they are gone!!!

Measurements for this card are: 

Card base: Thick Basic White  CS- 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" 

 

First layer: Magenta Madness CS - 4" x 5-1/4" embossed with the Ornate embossing folder

Next layer is Basic White CS - 3-1/8" x 8-1/2" scored and folded at 4-1/4"

Magenta Madness layer on top of this part is die cut with the largest rectangle in Stitched So Sweetly dies

The DSP that tops this is 2-5/8" x 3-3/4"

The Greeting layer and Greeting are both die cut using the smallest 2 rectangles in the Stitched So Sweetly dies. 

Other items I used to complete this card were the Brushed Brass Butterflies and the White crinkled seam binding ribbon! 
The greetings are from the Pansy Patch stamp set and are stamped in Magenta Madness

Adulting is Hard!! using Nothing Better Than stamp set and coordinating dies!

 Nothing Better Than stamp set and coordinating dies are in our 2021-2022 Annual Catalog! 

This is the cutest card for someone going through a rough moment and needing a little pick me up! 

The card base for this card is a piece of So Saffron card stock cut 5-1/2" x 4-1/4". 

We then cut a piece of Basic White CS to 8" x 5-1/4" and score on the long side at 4". When folded this then gives us a piece measuring 5-1/4" x 4". 

I also cut a circle using the largest of the layering circle dies to attach to the front of the card. 

The piece of DSP comes from the Pattern Party (hostess pack) and measures 4" x 5-1/4".

I die cut the word cocktail from a scrap of Bermuda Bay card stock.

After stamping my coctail glasses and sentiments I used Petal Pink and Crushed Curry to stamp the drink inside the glasses. I then used the blends in Bermuda Bay and So Saffron to color the umbrella and slice on the glasses. 

Once it was all completed I went back and added some Wink Of Stella to my glasses just to give them a little bling!!

Sale-a-brations Sunshine & Rainbows DSP!!!

 YOU MAKE ME HAPPY!! 

It is a wondeful thing when Stampin'Up! coordinates the sale-a-brations with the catalog items. 

This is one of those cases!  The FREE with purchase Sunshine & Rainbows 6 x 6 DSP coordinates with the Rainbow of Happiness Bundle in the mini catalog!! What a great way to get it all!!!

I started this card with a Misty Moonlight card base measuring 4-1/4" x 11". I scored this on the long side at 2-3/4" and 5-1/2". 
There are 3 pieces of Basic White -- 1--( 4" x 5-1/4"), 1-- (3-1/2" x 2-1/2"), and 1--  (2-1/2" x 4")
There are 2 pieces of the DSP - 1--(3-3/4" x 2-1/4") and 1--(3-3/4" x 2-3/4")
You also need 1 piece of Magenta Madness measuring 3-3/4" x 2-3/4"

First thing to do is find the sheet of rainbows and cut one apart to use on your card front. 

Now you need to take the small rainbow die and die cut it out of the basic white piece measuring 2-1/2" x 3-1/2". then you can attach your rainbow dsp piece to the back of the die cut piece and stamp your greeting right below your rainbow. I also cut a second piece with the rainbow die out of my Misty Moonlight piece and added the piece for the second section covering the green. 

After you get this section assemble you can go ahead and complete the assembly of the card.

Make sure you only put adhesive on the left side of your Magenta Madness layer and center it with the card folded before attaching. 

Of course to complete the card I added some Wink Of Stella to the rainbow to give it that extra special touch. Sure hope you liked this card! It was fun to make and is going to make some people very happy!!!

I ENJOY EVERY CHAPTER OF OUR FRIENDSHIP

 This single stamp is perfect for your cardmaking. You can stamp the image and leave it plain or step it up by coloring and layering. And the sentiment and image are perfect for your friends that like to read or not!! 

For this card I used Granny Apple Green for the card base and cut a piece of DSP from the Pattern Party hostess DSP pack at 5-3/8" x 4-1/8". The top piece is the largest die from the Scalloped Contours dies. I also cut a second piece from the basic white for the inside of my card too.

 I used a stamparatus to stamp the image just so I could make sure I had the image to the darkness I wanted and didn't have to worry about lining it up to match!

 

I used the blends in Pool Party, Real Red, Granny Apple Green, Pale Papaya, and Pumpkin Pie to color my image. I also added some Wink of Stella to the white parts of my pair of glasses to make it sparkle a little.

Love is in the Air!!! Stampin Stray Ducklings Feb. 2022 Blog Waddle!

 Sweet Talk Suite Collection is amazing and I just can't get enough of it!!!

I got this card idea right out of the catalog!! (page 8) I love the detail!!

I started with a Blushing Bride card base. 

I cut a piece of the DSP at 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" and inked up the Gingham Embossing folder with the Blushing Bride ink pad and ran it through my Stmapin' Cut & Emboss Machine. 

I then cut a piece of Pool Party CS 4-1/8" x 3" and a piece of Shimmery White CS was cut using the Largest Die in the Stitched So Sweetly Die set. Using the Water Painters I did a watercolor wash on my Shimmery White piece using Pool Party ink. and then layered it onto the piece of Pool Party CS.

I then die cut out 2 mini envelopes from Blushing Bride CS and mini hearts fro Pool Party CS. The BFF heart was die cut out of the DSP. 

The sentiment for the front was stamped in Blushing Bride on a 1" square of the Shimmery White CS. For the inside of the card I cut a piece of Shimmery White CS and stamped the greeting in Blushing Bride.

Amazing Silhouettes Thank you card!

 This bundle is AMAZING!! 

The stamp set has three beautiful images while the coordinating dies have the words to go with it. This is the perfect bundle to make the perfect card for any occasion! 

I started with a Polished pink card base. The next layer is basic white measuring 4-1/8"  x 5-3/8".  The layer of the 2021-2023 DSP measures 4" x 5-1/4". The image is stamped on a piece of basic white measuring 2-1/2" x 5". I die cut the word Thanks from basic black and basic white and used the green glue to adhere the two together.

This is a beautiful card for any occasion. Thank you Mary Fish for the inspiration! 

This card also uses our Simply Marbelous Designer Series Paper which is also part of our 

sale-a-brations! 

The card base for this card is our Thick Basic White cardstock. The layers are die cut out using our Stitched Rectangles Dies. 

I used the stamparatus to stamp my image onto my piece of basic white cut with the second largest die and then popped it up with dimentionals. 

I heat embossed my greeting using the white embossing powder and popped it up with dimentionals. 

To finish my card I stamped the sentiment "It's the little things that make life great" on the inside.

Sending a card instead of a text!!!

 This Flowing Flowers stamp set was not on my radar until I saw a card with this sentiment!

This is a wonderful sentiment in my opinion. Too many times texts become our only conversation. I have so many people I will be sending this card to. 

I started this card with a Gorgeous Grape card base. My next layer is basic white measuring 5-1/4" x 4". After stamping my images, the larger ones in Highland Heather and the smaller one in Gorgeous Grape, I then used the stitched rectangles dies to cut my layers.

Miss You!!! with our Honeybee Home bundle!

Honey Bee Home Bundle

 This bundle is part of a mega Suite that has two bundles in it. There are so many wonderful products in this suite it is going to make you want it all!!!

The measurements for this card are:
Thick Basic White card base measuring 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
The Misty Moonlight layer measures 5-3/8" x 4-1/8"
The Bumblebee layer measures 5-1/4" x 4" and is embossed using the Hive 3D embossing folder. I also used a blending brush with the Bumblebee ink pad and sponged an area in the middle of my embossed layer to just add a little more depth and detail to make the flowers pop!!
The flowers were stamped in Misty moonlight and Bumblebee on basic white and then die cut out. I then tied a piece of baker's twine around it to make it look like a boquet. I did randomly add wink of stella to some of the flowers. 
The bees were stamped in momento ink onto basic white and die cut as well. I then colored the body part with my bumblee Stampin' Write marker and then went over the whole bee with Wink of Stella!!
The greeting is stamped in Misty Moonlight on a piece of basic white measuring 1" x 2" and layered onto a piece of Misty Moonlight measuring 1-1/8" x 2-1/8".

New product from our new January to June 2022 mini catalog!!

This beautiful card was made using products from our Heart & Home Suite!  I used many new products on this card including The Blessings of Home Bundle, Heart & Home Designer Series Paper and our new Heart & Home Doilies just to name a few. 

                        

                                                                                                                  

                                            

The measurements for this card are: 

Card Base is Thick Basic White measuring 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
The layers are Fresh Fresia measuring 5-1/4" x 4"
The layer of DSP measures 5-1/8" x 3-7/8"

The flowers on top of the Hear and Home Doilie was stamped on basic white and colored with Blends in Pale Papaya, Soft Succulents and Fresh Freesia and the die cut out. 

After adhereing to the front of the card I used wink of Stella on the flowers and added a couple of the Classic Matte Dots from this suite. 
For the greeting I cut a piece of basic white at 1" x 2" and layered it on the Fresh Freesia at 1-1/8" x 2-1/8". I attached this to the front of the card using stampin dimentionals.

In The Moment Stamp Set

January - June 2022 Mini Catalog!!!

This stamp set is called In The Moment and is one that I am sure I will be using alot. Right now I would say this is my new fave from the new catalog. It is such a good friend stamp set and I just love these images!!!

I paired this stamp set with out Hand Penned 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper from our annual catalog. I think the colors are perfect!

The measurements for this card are: 

Pape Papaya card base measuring 4-1/4" x 8-1/4". You score this on the long side at 5-1/2"

Garden Green card measuring 3" x 8" and scored at the 4" mark on the 8" side

Basic White - cut 2 measuring 2-3/4" x 3-3/4"

DSP pieces are:

(Inside) 5-1/4" x 4"

(Left flap)  cut 2 measuring 4" x 2-1/2"

(inside green flap) 2-3/4" x 3-3/4"

I also used the Pale Papaya open weave ribbon

For coloring I used Stampin' blends in the following colors:

Pool Party card base measuring 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at  5-1/2" on the long side

Basic Black layer - 5-1/4" x 4"

Basic White layer - 5-1/8" x 3-7/8"

To creat the split front I cut a piece of the Designer Series Paper at 3-7/8" x 3".  I then cut it diagonally in half making sure that the 3-7/8" was across the top and cut from the bottom left corner up to the top right corner.

I adhered my DSP to the front of my card first. This was so I made sure I lined up and stamped straight in the middle of the area. .  To complete my card I stamped my greeting on the inside and added another stamped flower image. I colored the images with a Lt. Pool Party Blends. I also added a piece of the DSP on the flap of my envelope.
