Stamping Stray Ducklings!

Welcome to our Stampin' Stray Ducklings monthly Blog Waddle!

This month we are featuring products from our new August to December mini catalog!!!

If you haven't received your new mini or the new sale-a-bration catalogs please let me know and I will get it to you!!!

For my card this month I am using the Reflected in Nature stamp on page 60 of the mini catalog.

For the card base I used basic black. I also cut a piece of basic black 3&1/4" x 3 to fit behind our cabin.. The white piece that was cut to stamp the cabins on was 3&1/2" square. Once you stamp it you then fussy cut out around the stamped image.

To stamp this image use the stamparatus and stamped the lower part of the image in smoky slate. After cleaning the stamp I then re-stamped and do the top of the image in basic black. By using the stamparatus you don't need to worry about lining it up because it stamps again in the same spot!!! This is a must have tool!!!

The background layer is from the hostess dsp pack (pattern party) and is 5&1/4". If you would like to earn this DSP for free contact me for more information! The greeting and the black piece behind the greeting are both cut using the stitched rectangles dies.

For the inside of the card I cut a piece of white cardstock at 5&1/4" x 4"

June 2021 Stampin Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle!

Welcome to our June 2021 Stampin Stray Ducklings Blog Waddle!!!

My card for this month is made using the
Bloom Where You're Planted suite
on page 80 & 81 of our new
May 2021- April 2022 Annual catalog!!

One of the best things about this suite is that the dies not only line up with the stamped images but also work with some of the designer series papers making creating beautiful projects a breeze!!

By using the dies and cutting out the pots and plants and using a piece of DSP for the top layer on the front of the card you are able to make a beautiful detailed card quickly.

I started with a gray granite card base. I then added my layer of DSP measuring 5-1/4" x 4" using dimensionals to give it a little pop. The plant stand was cut from a piece of basic black and the piece of cinnamon cider was used to give you a landing.

This card was copied from the catalog. Which is always a great place to start when looking for card ideas!!!!

A LITTLE "THANK YOU" FOR MY CARD CLUB MEMBERS!

I love to make cards and I also love to do little projects as well. This was my thank you to my card club members for the 2021-2022 catalog kick-off

For this project I used a new Pansy Petal suite on pages 28-29 of the new
May 2021-April 2022 catalog!

This is an amazing suite with some really beautiful papers, embellishments and goes with our new in colors!!!

Here are my measurements for this project.
I started with a piece of BLACKBERRY BLISS cardstock

measuring 3-1/4" x 7-3/8"

I scored this at 3-1/8", 3-1/2" and 3-7/8".

Next you cut from score mark to score mark at 1-1/8" and again at 2-1/8". Then you fold the top and bottom scores in and the middle scores out as pictured.

For the front cover of my post it note holder I used a piece of the DSP measuring 3"x3". I then cut the flower and leaves from another piece of the DSP with the matching dies which is part of the suite. I then used a piece of the new open weave ribbon in our new Fresh Freesia and I also attached one of the new Bumblebee trinkets to the flower to give it a little extra bling!!
On the first piece of the post it notes on the inside I added one of the smaller flowers which was cut from the paper as well.

Happy Father's Day

My card is a joy fold card using the Well Suited Suite on pages 66 & 67 of the January - June 2021 Mini Catalog. I used Pacific point for my card bases. I tied a piece of the twine on the front flap and used buttons cut suing the dies. By using the coordinating DSP the card is pulled together.

On the inside I used a bowtie stamped and cut from the dsp used on the front.

The joy fold opens both directions making it a beautiful card.

Here are the measurements for the card stock:

Pacific point -- 4 & 1/4" x 8 & 1/2" score at 5&1/2"

2 & 1/4" x 8 & 1/2" score at 4 & 1/4"

DSP - Inside piece--5 & 1/4" x 4"

Front piece --2 & 3/4" x 4"

white cardstock - cut 2 pieces 2" x 4"

Mother's Day 2021

Welcome to our Stampin' Stray Ducklings monthly Blog Waddle!

Our theme this month is

Mother's Day / SPRING!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!

To create this card I used the Art Gallery suite from the January to June 2021 mini catalog. I love the two step stamping and the fact that it has matching dies makes it so easy to create beautiful works of art!

I created the background for this card using ink pads directly to the embossing folder. Always using the lightest first with just a few dabs of the darker color. For this card I used Petal Pink and Flirty Flamingo. Then after a couple spritzes of water , I ran watercolor paper in it through the big shot. Depending on the amount of ink and the amount of water you get magical different backgrounds every single time. I love how it creates its very own pattern and each time it is different. Simple to do yet beautiful and so personal!
