Look how different one layout can look with different papers and embellishments!!

All 3 of these cards use the same layout! I just changed up the paper and stamp set that I used.

Floating & Fluttering

Welcome to our Stampin' Stray Ducklings monthly Blog Waddle!

Our theme this month is Spring and Easter!

Enjoy!

This is a beautiful floating frame card.

This card was made using the Floating & Fluttering bundle from page 61 of our
 January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.
I also used a sentiment from Timeless Tulips page 21 of our Annual Catalog.

I stamped the image 5 times on basic white cardstock. It takes 5 of these to do one card! I also stamped them on the corner of the envelope. I stamped them in memento ink and then colored them using Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight  and Granny Apple green blends. I then stamped the detail on the butterflies. For the monarch I used Pumpkin Pie and for the other two I used Melon Mambo.

I stamped my greeting in memento onto Daffodil Delight cardstock and cut it out with the ornate frames die.  I then die cut my butterflies. That is one of the best things about this set is that it includes 2 of the dies so you are able to cut out 2 at once saving time!!! That makes it very convenient when making a card like this!

Once you get the die cutting done you just arrange them to cover the best amount of space on your card base. I used thick basic white cardstock for my card base and attached my sentiment in the middle of the card first with dimensionals. Then I  just arranged the other 5 pieces around that.  Once you have them set you attach them with dimensionals to the card base  This did use a lot of dimensionals but the effect is amazing. You really can't even tell in the pictures. This is one of those cards you need to see!
Once I got it put down then I just take scissors and cut off the pieces sticking over the sides. I finished my card by using wink of stella on all the butterflies and rhinestone basics to fill in any empty spaces on my card!

Whiskey Business

 Whiskey Business Birthday Card!

This is one of those sets that I knew as soon as I saw it that  I had to get it. I know several men who like their whiskey and I knew this would make the perfect birthday card! Of course I always like to decorate my envelope to match my card!

I actually got this idea from Pinterest but don't remember the name who shared it. I don't usually use blends much so this was new to me. After practicing with the blender pens for a long time and finally getting it to the color that I liked.( I used the mango melody and cinnamon cider blends.) I started with the light Mango Melody in the center. I then did a small area around that with the light cinnamon cider and then outlined it with the dark cinnamon cider. Then I went back with the light Mango melody and just blended until the lines were almost gone. I think it turned out nicely.

I fussy cut them out to use on my card. I then used some shimmery crystal effects I had left over and the way the decanter and glass looks like glass is amazing!!!

I hope you like the card! Please feel free to ask any questions!!
